Google Chrome

First off let me just say WOW~!

I mean you thought firefox was fast. this browser really smokes!

I’m talking of course about Google Chrome. Google’s new introdution to the web browser field. And it’s a hell of a beta release let me just say.

Not only is it super user friendly, clean, and above all FAST, it does what you want it to do without having to think on how you should do it. your first thought is most likely the correct one.

But what I’m Really into is this thing they call “incognito” mode, which basicly is a sandboxed offspring that doesnt log any of your browsing habits in that window, of course it can’t help with the info you give other’s but as far as keeping it on your own system, it doesn’t. (think work, schoolroom, etc)

But what I’m really impressed with is the speed. java times are OUTSTANDING! Mostly because of mac’s webkit I’m sure, but this is really , really nice, like noticably seconds faster then even firefox on sites like youtube, redtube etc.

There’s many other features like dynamic tab’s that you can drag into new windows or put them back on the tab bar (really handy) and highly visually responsive pages for say known phishing sites, or like on my site, because I cant afford a signed ssl cert, it will cross out the https to let you know it’s not fully up to standards (but still safe if you were wondering).

Netgear Readynas Duo

Probably my favorite addition to my home setup, is my Netgear ReadyNAS Duo. Not only are the two drive bay’s hot swappable, and working in RAID 5, with a Journaled file system, but they have also made it VERY Feature rich!

Labor Day BBQ

So being it was very late last night, (well this morning) and it’s Labor day, of course we’re going to barbeque tonight, and fortunatly, my girl want’s STEAK! w00t! (Now your starting to see why I love her!)

So tonight I’m making up some baked potato’s with rosted garlic, thick cut peppered bacon, and some sharp cheddar, locally grown corn on the cob with a little rosted garlic in it as well, and a nice pinot noir. Of course there will be salad, nothing really special there, but it’s more of natures push-broom then the focus of this meal anyways.
